Day 10 - Tamarind Thai Cafe with Julie, Chris and Allison.

Another easy one - dinner with 3 good friends at my favourite restaurant. We've had to accept a table upstairs though, due to our numbers. Upstairs is on the grotty side, downstairs is like being in someone's kitchen. The food and the company better make up for it.

Day 9 - filling up at marks and spencers

Had the house to myself, bought moussaka and chocolate mousse from m and s, sat in kitchen listening to radio 4 and a storm outside.

Day 8 - watching youtube videos

Ok i admit this was a LESSON. Can this count?? In mitigation there is only one (very nice) student in the class and we watched and chatted about Boris Johnson videos. This is barrel scraping I admit.

Day 7 -bridge over the river kwai

Watched with my son in three parts. A great tale really well built up.

Day 5 - lunch at work

Not as mad as it sounds this one. First day back at work after the Christmas break and it's a training day. This means a catered lunch and no students (sorry students). So, a whole half hour off, eating food someone else made and drinking cups of tea. Yep, that qualifies.

Day 4 lunch or I quit

I'm drawing a blank. Ive got to wash my hair, get clothes ready, get books ready, revise GCSEs and do some history and geography.  Where's the fun in that? Thats why this blog is necessary. I'm having lunch with my husband it'll have to be that.

Day 3 - friends in Cinnamon Square / Would I lie to you

Miranda was ok, but Big Fat Anniversary Quiz was better so that was yesterday's fun. Today it was good to meet up with friends in Rickmansworth oh and book our holiday!!! But I've hedged my bets in case Would I lie to you at 8pm on Dave turns out to be better.

Ok I've done both now and its pretty neck and neck. More guffawing at WILTY but always nice to see friends.

Have no fun planned for tomorrow.  Have to get ready for work on monday so i better do something nice. Its a challenge.

Day 1 - Ice skating at Hampton Court Palace

First fun of the year - yep you guessed it ice skating at Hampton Court Palace. Easy car parking - tick, coffee on site with no queue - tick, minimal queueing - tick. Pretty much a perfect fun event when you include the dusk, the lit up Palace etc etc. All went well until I came a cropper trying to negotiate a path past a youngster with a penguin thing. Landed on arse with secondary head banging. Still hurts to move.

Day 2 - Watching Miranda

OK OK I admit I haven't done it yet, but I probably will and it is my fun of the day. You're right that doesn't say much about the rest of my day. I've read "Thinking about it only makes it worse" by David Mitchell and that is a lot of fun - except I read it a bit here and a bit there, so I don't get the full fun in one go. Might use that another day. Still suffering from ice skating related injury which I have self-diagnosed as coccydynia. This blog is going to be dangerous.
